About Me

My photo
Robin
Sanford, Florida, United States
I am one of the estimated 2 to 6 million women who, as young, unmarried girls, had children taken for adoption during the Era of Mass Surrenders (EMS). I am now reunited but am determined that we, as a group who suffered the worst kind of isolation and discrimination, find justice for our cause. Ann Fessler wrote about us in her best-seller, "The Girls Who Went Away." Many of those "girls" that are featured in this book are my friends. I have four chidlren, two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren and have a right to be treated with respect as an adult. No more shame, blame or put-downs will be allowed to go unaddressed. I am also a woman with ideals, values and philosophies. Like everyone else, I have a right to be heard.
